Union Home Minister Amit Shah reveals BJP will remove religious reserve if elected to power in Telangana

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will buy every grain of boiled rice produced by farmers once the party forms a government in Telangana.

“If you can’t do it, then quit. The BJP will take matters into their own hands and the BJP government in the state will buy every kilo of boiled rice from the farmers in the state,” Shah told the outgoing government led by K Chandrashekhar Rao.

He further disclosed that the BJP would abandon any religious reservations as Shah explained that such systems have harmed socially backward groups like Dalits, Tribals and Other Backward Castes (OBCs).

Speaking at a public meeting in Tukkugada, Shah repeatedly urged the crowd to “uproot and overthrow the KCR government”.

He said a corrupt family ran the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government and they were not delivering on any of their ‘neellu, nedhulu, neyamakalu’ (water, resources and jobs) promises.

“Modi government has so far sanctioned Rs 2,52,202 crore for Telangana,” Shah told the crowd, as reported by the Deccan Chronicle.

He further added, “But the KCR government takes credit or refuses to pass on the benefits of central regimes like Aayushman Bharat or Kisam Bima to potential beneficiaries.”
