TOP: Akhara Parishad leader Mahant Narendra Giri, found dead at Prayagraj residence; recovered suicide note


Mahant Narendra Giri Maharaj, president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad was found dead at his residence in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

Police suspect, however, that this is a case of suicide.

According to sources, the door was locked from the inside and must have been broken. Narendra Giri Maharaj was found hanging from a nylon rope. A suicide note was recovered by the police which mentions that he was mentally disturbed.

Mahant Narendra Giri wrote a will in her suicide note on what to do about the ashram. It is written in the Testament who will take care of the ashram.

Police in Prayagraj said the suicide note mentioned the names of Anand Giri and other disciples of the seer. He says he was upset for many reasons and that is why he was ending his life. He wrote that he lived with pride and could not go on living without her. The suicide note is 7-8 pages long.

Meanwhile, Narendra Maharaj Giri’s disciple Anand Giri said, “Guruji cannot kill himself, he was tortured because of the money. It’s a huge plot against me. An impartial investigation must be carried out.

“Police officers, the ground mafia is involved in the plot. I will cooperate with the police in the investigation. Guruji was provoked against me. If I am guilty, I am ready to face the punishment. I spoke to guruji two weeks ago, ”added Anand Giri.

Anand Giri has also called for an investigation against IG KP Singh.

The psychic was 72 years old and had also been infected with Covid-19 earlier in April. He had isolated himself inside his ashram.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) Leader Akhilesh Yadav also offered his condolences on the death of Narendra Giri Maharaj.

Akhilesh Yadav said: “The President of All India Akhara Parishad, Pujya Narendra Giri Ji, has passed away, it is an irreparable loss. May God grant the virtuous soul peace and strength to his disciples to endure this pain. “

Earlier in April, Akhilesh Yadav had met Mahant Narendra Giri Maharaj in Haridwar during the Kumbh Mela, after which Akhilesh Yadav had tested positive for Covid-19.
